This 3-string instrument is also known as the Appalachian dulcimer or lap dulcimer. A dulcimer can play chords, melody, or both, and its layout means that your fingers are never more than one note away from a good sound.
Would you like to learn? Bill Wake has 10+ years experience with the mountain dulcimer, and will teach beginner or intermediate students, of any age. The price is $25 for a half hour or $40 for an hour lesson. We’ll find times that work for both of us.
